24/7 emergency water damage restoration

If water is still moving, shut it off at the main and call — do not wait for a callback. Once it is stopped, the clock that matters is the drying clock: material that stays wet past roughly 24 to 48 hours moves from a drying job to a demolition and mold job, which is a different scale of work entirely.

Show us your project

Record a short video of what's going on. A real person watches it before we call you back within 2 hours, 7am–9pm — so we arrive knowing what we're walking into.

No account, no forms to fill out first. Just your phone camera.

Before we get there

  1. 1

Shut off the water at the main if the source is a pipe or fixture. It is usually at the street side of the house, or in the garage.

  2. 2

Kill power to the affected rooms at the breaker if water is anywhere near outlets, cords, or a panel. Do not stand in water to reach a switch.

  3. 3

Get furniture up off wet flooring, or slide foil or wood blocks under the legs. Wood stain and metal rust bleed into carpet permanently within hours.

  4. 4

Take photos and video before you move or throw anything away. This is the single most common reason claims get reduced.

  5. 5

Do not run your household vacuum on standing water, and do not assume a fan is enough. Surface-dry and actually dry are not the same thing.

What we do when we arrive

  1. 1

Find and stop the source, if it is still active.

  2. 2

Meter the affected area — moisture readings behind drywall and under flooring, not just what is visible.

  3. 3

Extract standing water before anything else.

  4. 4

Pull out what cannot be saved: soaked carpet pad, swollen baseboard, saturated drywall below the water line.

  5. 5

Set air movers and dehumidifiers to a drying plan matched to the materials and the square footage.

  6. 6

Monitor moisture daily and document the readings until the structure is dry to standard.

  7. 7

Hand you the documentation set for your insurer.

What drives the cost

Nobody can price this honestly without seeing it, and a number quoted sight unseen is a number you pay for later. Here is what actually moves it.

How far the water travelled
Water tracks along joists and under flooring, so the wet area is almost always larger than the visible stain. Scope is set by the moisture meter, not the eye.
Water category
Clean supply-line water, grey water from an appliance, and black water from sewage or ground flooding are three different jobs with different handling, containment, and disposal requirements.
How long it sat
The biggest single variable. Drying that starts the same day is a fraction of the work of drying that starts after a weekend away.
Materials affected
Concrete and tile mostly dry. Carpet pad, MDF, and engineered flooring mostly do not. Hardwood is the judgement call in the middle.
Whether demolition is needed
If saturated material has to come out to dry the structure, the job picks up reconstruction as well as restoration.
Mold presence
Mold moves the work into containment and remediation, with a different scope and different documentation.

Insurance

Most homeowners policies cover water damage that is sudden and accidental — a pipe that bursts, a supply line that fails, an appliance hose that lets go. What they generally exclude is gradual damage: the slow leak that was there for months, and long-term seepage. That single distinction decides most claims, which is why the timeline and the documentation matter so much. Flooding from outside the house — rising ground water, storm surge — is usually not covered by a standard policy at all, only by separate flood insurance.

We document the loss the way adjusters expect it — moisture readings, photographs, scope, and drying logs — and deal with your adjuster directly. General guidance only: your own policy wording decides your claim.

Common questions

How fast do I need to act after water damage?

Same day. The industry benchmark is that mold can begin developing on wet material within roughly 24 to 48 hours under normal indoor conditions. Before that window closes you are usually drying; after it, you are usually removing.

Can I just dry it out myself with fans?

Sometimes, for a small clean-water spill caught immediately on a hard surface. The problem is what you cannot see — water inside the wall cavity, under the flooring, and in the subfloor. Household fans move surface air; they do not pull moisture out of a wall assembly. If drywall is soft, if there is a musty smell, or if the area is bigger than a bath towel, get it metered.

Do you work directly with my insurance company?

We document the loss the way adjusters expect it — moisture readings, photographs, scope, and daily drying logs — and we deal with your adjuster directly so you are not relaying technical detail you should not have to learn. We work for you, not for the insurer.

What does water damage restoration cost?

It depends on scope and severity, and anyone quoting a number before seeing it is guessing. What sets it is how far the water travelled, what category it was, how long it sat, which materials it reached, and whether anything has to come out. Record a short video and we will tell you what we are actually looking at.

Do you handle the repairs, or only the drying?

Both. We are a general contractor, so the same team that dries the structure puts it back — drywall, paint, flooring, cabinetry. You are not left holding a dried-out shell and a list of other trades to chase.

Where we work

We cover the Greater Los Angeles area within roughly 50 miles — across LA County and into Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino and Riverside. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask; it is a ten second answer.

Not sure how bad it is?

That is exactly what the video is for. Record what you can see, and we will tell you whether it is an emergency, something that can wait, or something you can handle yourself.
